Thank you so much for the plug, and for all you taught me about social media. I had another interesting encounter today while door-knocking. I met an elderly man while canvassing and spoke with him for about 6-7 minutes about my campaign, why I'm running, etc. We had a good conversation, and as I was about say goodbye, I heard a voice inside the house saying, "dad, is that Mark Keam at the door?" And then a young man came out and said, "hey I know you -- we're friends on Facebook!!!" I was totally floored! Unfortunately, I didn't recognize him since I have over 1,600 friends and 800 supporters on my personal and campaign Facebook accounts, but it's always nice to meet someone in person that you meet online. And it was awesome to meet this young man so randomly through a campaign door knock... We chatted a bit more, then I looked at his dad and said Mr. ****, I think we need to get you on Facebook as well. The old man had this confused look on his face that made all of us crack up laughing! It was a great moment and I'm so glad that social networking media made it happen.
